Clark Fork council is shutting out voices
I attended a Clark Fork City Council meeting on Sept. 15. I went in support of a property owner who wants to have the city vacate an alley that has never been developed as a usable alley. Until the property sold, occupied house trailers were parked on it. As the property owner owns all the lots “served” by the non-existent alley, it seems like a no-brainer. This owner wants to build a center to be used by the community, offering marital arts, yoga, meditation and probably speakers, designed primarily with the youth of the area in mind.
My reason for writing this letter is because as a county, not city, resident I’m allowed no voice. I could have written a letter stating my views but it was due Sept. 11 and sadly, I only learned of that option on Sept. 15.
