SANDPOINT — The Lake Pend Oreille School District can add another accolade to its list of student accomplishments: president.

Sandpoint High School junior Caroline Suppiger successfully campaigned for the top post of the Idaho State Association of Student Councils at its conference at Boise State University in February.

The annual election involves a rotation of offices — president, vice president, and secretary — between the association’s three geographic areas, and six different regions throughout  Idaho. This year, it was Region 1 and 2’s turn to elect the president.
