Freshman cards 43 to lead Wampus Cat golfers

PRIEST RIVER — Senior Jeremy MacDonald carded a one-under-par 32 to win boys medalist honors for the host Spartans, who defeated Clark Fork and Cusick in a nonleague season-opener Wednesday at the Ranch Club Golf Course.

Kody Salesky, Dylan Yeoman and Conner Vaage all shot in the 50’s for Priest River, which shot a 193 to win as a team.

Freshman Wade Stevens turned in a round of 43 to lead the way for second place Clark Fork. Mary Dick, the only female athlete competing, shot a 58.

Priest River travels to Kellogg on Thursday for an Intermountain League match.
