Timberwolves blank Bulldogs

COEUR d’ALENE — Jordan Ross and Stephen Vaudreuil each drove in two runs as Lake City shut out Sandpoint 7-0 in its home opener in a nonleague makeup game.

Cody Garza wend 2 for 3 and scored two runs for Lake City (6-3).

Paul Sundquist and Davan Norris had the only hits for Sandpoint (2-6). Norris pitched four innings and Malaki Smith three in the loss.

Sandpoint is at Lakeland on Saturday in the league opener.
