Icardo, Cope lead Wampus Cats to wins

CLARKSTON, Wash. — The No. 1 boys doubles team of Niko Icardo and James Cope teamed up for a strong showing on Saturday, leading the Wampus Cats at a league tennis match in Clarkston, Washington.
The doubles team beat Deary’s top team 8-2, then beat Clearwater Valley’s top team 8-5 and Clearwater’s No. 2 team 8-0 to post three pro set wins. Icardo and Cope ended a strong day by falling 9-8 to Coeur d’Alene Charter’s top team, losing the tie-breaker 7-4.
