With legislators like this, changes needed

Idaho House committee members, including Rep. Heather Scott, R-Blanchard, and Shannon McMillan, R-Silverton, have killed a bill that would have kept Idaho’s child-support enforcement system intact.

Now, Idaho no longer has a way to track and enforce child support payments, according to Rep. Luke Malek. R-Coeur d’Alene.

“It was an extremely irresponsible vote in that committee, and children with single mothers and fathers are going to pay the price,” he said.
