Class has SHS students aiming sky high
SANDPOINT — A small group of Sandpoint High School students are aiming high. Sky high in fact.
Seven students from the school’s Aerospace Computer Aided Design class — now in its second year — were hard at work Tuesday producing a virtual plane design which they will submit later this month to the General Aviation Manufacturers Association’s annual Build-A-Plane Aviation Design Challenge.
“This is what real companies do when they are designing an airplane,” Nathan Dyk, a flying enthusiast and volunteer helping the group, said.
