Pearlstein leads Sandpoint in shutout of Timberlake

SPIRIT LAKE — Senior Quinn Pearlstein went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs to lead Sandpoint to a 9-0 win over Timberlake in a nonleague baseball game Friday at Timberlake High School.

Nick Holland added two hits and two RBIs and Paul Sundquist and Talon Dewey two hits apiece for Sandpoint (6-9), which pounded out 11 hits to back a shutout performance by four Sandpoint pitchers. Malaki Smith was sharp for the first three innings, before Patrick Kummer, Talon Dewey and Davan Norris came in to preserve the shutout and keep the arms fresh for an upcoming doubleheader against Moscow.
