Crowley sparks Bulldog golfers in Coeur d'Alene
COEUR d’ALENE — Each week it seems like a different golfer steps up for the Bulldog boys golf team, which finished sixth on Monday during the Lake City Invitational at the Coeur d’Alene Golf Club.
On Monday, it was Nick Crowley’s turn, as the freshman fired an 84 to go with Jack Reeves’s 83, helping the Bulldogs come within two points of 4A North rival Lakeland, by far the closest gap all season.
“He was real steady. He could have been in the 70s, but he five-putted the last hole and took three strokes to get out of a trap on another,” said Bulldogs head coach Tom Tharp of Crowley. “He really shined today, he could have been much lower.”
