Almighty dollar isn't more important than schools

| April 28, 2015 7:00 AM

I encourage everyone to take a closer look at what is happening at some of our smaller schools since the levy passed.

Northside school will be losing a wonderful principal/teacher since the district decided it would be cost efficient to bring in a part-time principal to go between Northside and Hope Elementary. Our district has tried this several times in the past only to realize each time that it doesn’t work. Northside has achieved a five-star ranking along with being named number 34 out of over 70,000 schools nation wide.  Not only will Northside lose a wonderful principal and upper quartile teacher but a person who truly cares about out kids.
