Mixed doubles strong as Bulldogs fall to Bears

SANDPOINT — Patrick Rockwell and Sadie Nitcy notched a hard fought win at No. 1 mixed doubles, and Logan Temple and Caroline Suppiger won easily at No. 2 mixed doubles, as the Bulldogs lost 8-4 to the Bears in a 4A Inland Empire League tennis dual on Tuesday at Travers Park and Lakeview Courts.

The two 4A programs are the best in North Idaho, sweeping all of the 5A’s. Save for a couple of close tie-breakers going the Bears’ way, it nearly ended in a tie. With the district tournament looming, the two teams will be facing off plenty more in the near future.
