Bowen breaks school record to lead Wampus Cats
HARRISON FLATS — Brandan Bowen set a school record in winning the 300 hurdles in 41.41, Emily Garman won the 300 hurdles and 200 meters, and Lia Crumpton the 400 to lead the Wampus Cat boys and girls teams to third place finishes during the North Star League District Meet on Tuesday at Kootenai High High School.
“They gave it their all and because of that, there were many personal records set,” said Cats head coach Nellie Lutz-Wolf, praising Garman and Bowen, who also won the pole vault. “Emily is becoming a force to be reckoned with, there is no stopping her determination. Brandon’s work ethic and perseverance is putting him in promising position for the big meets to come.”
