Habitat for Humanity golf tournament on tap
PRIEST LAKE — Get ready to tee it up for a great cause, as the Priest Lake Golf Course plays host to the third annual Idaho Panhandle Habitat for Humanity Golf Tournament on Friday, Aug. 21 with a shotgun start at 10 a.m.
There is still time to sign up for the four person scramble fundraising tournament, which costs $100 per person and includes a cart, greens fee and food.
The tourney is also still looking for hole sponsors, from Gold ($850), which includes green fees for four people, mulligans, raffle tickets, a tee box sign, advertisement and recognition at the awards banquet, to Silver ($500), which includes green fees for four people, with mulligans and tee-box sign and advertisement, to Bronze ($300), which includes tee-box sign and an advertisement.
All proceeds benefit Idaho Panhandle Habitat for Humanity, which is currently building home No. 17 at Schissler Meadows in Kootenai.
“We provide safe, affordable, decent housing for those that otherwise couldn’t afford it,” described Tom Harvill, president of IPHFH, wishing to thank Priest Lake Golf Course. “Last year we got to watch a four point buck, and it’s just a great course. If you’re a single golfer, or a pair, just come out and we’ll get you on.”
The organization is also looking for anyone who might want to donate items for prizes.
