Magistrates must defy feds, stop abortion

Thursday in Priest River, Idaho Rep. Heather Scott, R-Blanchard, and Bonner County Sheriff Daryl Wheeler and dozens of other people gathered to rally around veteran John Arnold, who because of a medical condition, was subject to confiscation of his firearms by the federal Department of Veterans Affairs.

The basis for the rally was that the Second Amendment protects Mr. Arnold’s gun ownership, and the local government would contravene any attempt to seize weapons from Mr. Arnold without judicial due process.

Sheriff Wheeler stated that the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office would stop any inspection and weapons seizure by the Department of Veteran Affairs. The VA backed down.
