Vet should keep guns, get medical benefits

I see from the Aug. 7 Daily Bee that conservative politicians again used a veteran’s circumstances to stage a news event to further their agenda.

Idaho state Rep. Heather Scott, R-Blanchard, and Sheriff Daryl Wheeler used their positions to make a veteran’s unfortunate situation into their political statement. Do both these politicians really believe “mentally incompetent” individuals should have access to and ownership of firearms?
