B & B golf scramble on tap

| August 15, 2015 7:00 AM

SANDPOINT — Pay homage to a couple of longtime Elks members, while helping raise money to improve the course, by teeing it up at the Sandpoint Elks 6th Annual B & B Memorial Scramble on Aug. 29 at 9 a.m.

The tournament is held in memory of Bob Hess and Bob Moore, longtime local golfers who enjoyed many rounds at the Elks.

All of the money goes back into beautifying and improving the local golf course.

Bob Hess played golf nearly every day, even as a 94 year-old, and Bob Moore went through all the chain levels at the Elks, and was also a former groundskeeper.

The entry fee is $70, or $50 if you have a season pass, and that includes golf and a prime rib dinner after the tournament. There is also a horse race game for an extra $25 per player, and team prizes for lowest gross and lowest net scores.

The tournament is still looking for players, either as individuals or as a team, and hole and prize sponsorships are always welcome.

For more information, call the Elks at 263-4321.
