Iran arms agreement is worthy of support
Critics of our successful negotiations (along with our European allies) concluding a verifiable nuclear agreement with Iran have yet to offer a viable alternative. This agreement will halt development of an atomic weapon for the next decade and prevent our involvement in yet another Middle East war.
A “no deal” with continued sanctions alternative would not stop or even slow down Iran’s development of a nuclear weapon. Critics think if we made more threats and toughened sanctions, Tehran would give in and scrap its nuclear program. But the regime would actually cling to its nuclear program even more strongly as insurance against American military attack.
