Parker Ridge Fire remains unchanged
BONNERS FERRY — There was no change overnight in the Parker Ridge Fire, where it remained at 6,222 acres, Dan Scaife, liaison officer said.
The fire remains at 27-percent contained.
Scaife said crews were able to take some much-needed rest Tuesday.
“People are finally getting some rest,” Scaife said. “It’s been really quiet around here today.”
Crews are working through breezy winds near the ridge top, and the heavy helicopter was able to perform only a couple of bucket drops because of smoky conditions on Monday. Crews have built about two miles of fire line along Long Canyon Creek and continue to work in that area and Parker Creek.
