Solutions will follow a respectful conversation
I am constantly amazed by the richness of our community, both its environment and the people who inhabit this environment. Differing opinions can immediately give way to a common effort to help those in need. Opposite perspectives can join forces to make an impact in caring for a sick neighbor, a terminally ill child, a family who is homeless and much more.
I would like to speak to this ability within our community and offer the following quote: “It is an odd paradox, that a society, which can now speak openly and unabashedly about topics that were once unspeakable, still remains largely silent when it comes to mental illness.” (Glenn Close, author)
