COEUR d’ALENE — A pair of freshmen had strong games, but Clark Fork could not overcome a host of turnovers, falling 48-41 to North Idaho Christian in a girls basketball opener on Monday night at Woodland Middle School.
Tessa Sutton posted a double-double with 15 points and 10 boards, and fellow freshman Brooke Stevens tallied eight points, seven rebounds and three assists for the Wampus Cats (0-1), who played well in stretches but made some youthful mistakes in the process.
