SANDPOINT — During this frigidly cold time of year, some people are homeless and need help getting back on their feet and finding warmth. Bonner Homeless Transitions is holding a fundraiser to help them get back on their feet and through the rough times.

Bonner Homeless Transitions is participating in the Avenues for Hope Housing Challenge, Dec. 10-31, to assist local people in the program with medical, dental and other housing-related needs.

“It’s to assist the clients we have in our program with costs many times they have difficulty paying,” said Mary Jo Ambrosiani, president of BHT.

Donations to the challenge will be entered daily, and they qualify for matching funds and toward grants awarded through the Home Partnership Foundation. Donations of $25 or more with a credit or debit card online, are eligible for matching funds, and checks for $100 or more will also be matched. Check must be received in Boise by Dec. 30 at noon to qualify. Checks should have Bonner Homeless Transitions listed on the memo line. Cash is not accepted.
