Even Jesus was once a refugee

I read with great sadness the report on the resolution to prohibit entrance of any Syrian refugees. Some of our schools have leaky roofs; many of our citizens cannot afford healthcare because Idaho has refused expansion of Medicaid; many county residents struggle to afford basic food and shelter; many roads and bridges are in disrepair, and our residents with mental illness are often lacking even the most basic of services. With all of these pressing issues, I cannot even conceive that the refugee issue is the one that citizens and our elected county officials are spending their precious time on.
