Task force welcomes properly-vetted refugees

Recently, Bonner County commissioners proclaimed that Bonner County would not receive refugees. Unfortunately this action portrays us as a closed community, which is not the Bonner County that many know and love.
The Bonner County Human Rights Task Force is deeply disappointed with this decision and what it says about our community. Refugees are placed in many different countries as determined by the UNHCR and the host country’s willingness and capacity to support and assimilate them.
