SANDPOINT — Sandpoint Parks and Recreation is offering a youth basketball league, for all players in grades 3-8, from Feb. 13 to March 19.

The focus is on fun and fundamentals for both girls and boys teams. Practices are held once per week at area schools, with games played on Saturdays. A Sandpoint youth sport jersey is required to participate, and they cost $14 and are available at City Hall (1123 Lake St.).

Registration forms were in area schools before winter break, and can also be picked up at City Hall or downloaded at www.sandpointidaho.gov. Scholarships are available on a need basis.

The registration deadline is Monday, Jan. 4. Fees for the league are: one player, $35 county/$30 within city limits, and there are discounts for more than one player in the family.
