Fundraiser donations benefit local wildlife

| December 29, 2015 8:00 PM

SAGLE — Mystic Farm Wildlife Rescue is gearing up for their "Grow More Spots" fundraiser and are looking for donations for the auction and raffles during the event.

Grow More Spots will be Jan. 30 at 2 p.m. at Laughing Dog Brewery in Sandpoint. The fundraiser helps Mystic Farm Wildlife Rescue, Inc., rescue, rehabilitate and release back into the wild, orphaned or injured ungulates, primarily fawns. The nonprofit, based out of Sagle, operates 100 percent on monetary and in-kind donations. There are no paid staff at Mystic Farm.

Dory McIsaac, executive director and operator, said the majority of the funding for Mystic Farm comes from the annual Grow More Spots fundraiser. They also get funding from grants and private donations, such as the Christmas Fund Drive and the local community. All natural candles can also be purchased for a minimum donation.
