Bonner County man charged with rape

SANDPOINT — A 20-year-old Bonner County man has been arrested for sending nude pictures to a 15-year-old girl and having sex with her.

Aaron Christopher Edwards is charged with rape and two misdemeanor counts of disseminating materials harmful to a minor. He made an initial appearance in Bonner County Magistrate Court on Monday.

Judge Lori Meulenberg appointed a public defender to represent Edwards and entered an order forbidding him from having any contact with the alleged victim, court records show. Meulenberg also sustained Edwards’ $22,000 bail.
