Officials need to follow moral laws
The best thing that could happen to society is that people stop just “carrying out orders” in the case of law enforcement or “doing what their told” in other cases. Instead, they should do what is morally right even if it subverts higher authorities.
Recently, I was at Sandpoint High School handing out Gospel tracts to students in the school parking lot. The principal told me to leave and then when I refused, he called the on-site police officer. The police officer backed up the school principal and the law. However, the right thing to do would be to subvert the law, even at risk of losing his job. He should trust that God will provide for all his needs as long as he stands up for what is right.
