Proposed retreat would trigger spot zoning

In regards to Shadow Valley Retreat, one of my fears is, that by approving the project, it would set a precedence and trigger a domino effect allowing for an array of problems.
I believe if Mr. Walker’s retreat is approved, it would clearly meet the criteria for spot zoning; the illegal singling out of a parcel of land within the limits of an area zoned for a particular use and permitting other uses for that parcel for the special benefit of its owners, and to the detriment of all the other owners in the area and not as a part of the scheme to benefit the entire area.
