Levy 'yes' vote is investment in future

Congratulations to Principal Perky Smith-Hagadone, the students, teachers, staff and parents of Northside Elementary for ranking in the top 50 elementary schools in the U.S. and the top 10 in Idaho. The Feb. 8 article describes the amount of community involvement at Northside, including out-of-state funding, grants and volunteer hours. Mr. Hughes wrote about the high level of technology used in the school since 2007. Lake Pend Oreille School District can be proud that 11 of 12 schools have a 4- or 5-star rating from the Idaho Department of Education.
