Project would destroy valley as we know it

I would like to respond to the letter to the editor (Daily Bee, Feb. 3) about the proposed Shadow Valley project.
I, too, enjoy the sound of a family and children having a summer gathering on the hill above my house. That is not the issue here. The permit application clearly states that the retreat will be open to weddings, parties, corporate gatherings etc., 365 days a year. I’m sure that there will be a fee charged for these gatherings so I’m not sure that “selfless” is an accurate description of Mr. Walker’s intentions.
