Proposed camp is a resort, not a retreat

In regard to the Planning & Zoning meeting on Jan. 15, 2015, on the Shadow Valley Camp Retreat, I would like to define the word retreat: Safety, refuge. A period of group withdrawal for prayer, meditation, study, and instruction under a director.

At this meeting, the Walker family stated that they would be open to receptions, anniversaries, weddings and camping. This is not a retreat! This is a resort, defined as: A popular place providing recreation and entertainment to vacationers. We do have several campgrounds and resorts in our area that are already open to the public.
