Senior center seeks support for grant

SANDPOINT — The Sandpoint Area Seniors, Inc. is in a pickle, and they need the community’s help, and fast.

The group is hoping to make much-needed improvements to the parking lot and buildings at Sandpoint Senior Center. To fund the work it will be submitting an Idaho Community Development Block Grant application to the Idaho Department of Commerce on March 5.

But here’s the snag: the grant requires community support, in the form both matching funds and services, according to grant writer Stephen Drinkard.
