SANDPOINT — The Shadow Valley Camp Retreat proposal is facing a legal challenge if it’s not withdrawn, according to documents filed in 1st District Court.

The Bonner County Planning & Zoning Commission on Thursday unanimously denied the project’s conditional use permit, which would have expanded David Walker’s family retreat in the Cabinet Mountains near Clark Fork and recast it as a commercial operation.

A day before the hearing, a neighboring landowner filed suit to keep Walker from using a bridge over Spring Creek to bring guests to the retreat.
