Bread and circuses while Rome burning

Many people in North Idaho have voiced their disappointment with our U.S. Rep. Raul Labrador’s vote in support of John Boehner. I was shocked to read his explanation of his support.
His vote was not based on his constituents’ desires, but on the “fact” that there were not enough votes. Several U.S. representatives are using this justification and did not have the spine to stand. It is a lame excuse. There can be only two reasons. He felt threatened by Boehner’s revenge, in which case he is a coward. Or there was a promise, such as a leadership position on a committee, in which case he is a sellout.
