| January 16, 2015 6:00 AM

CLARK FORK — Eich Anderson dropped a game-high 16 points to go with 11 rebounds, but Clark Fork could not stay with Priest River in the fourth quarter, falling 57-45 in nonleague boys basketball Thursday night in Clark Fork.

Geoffry Boudousquie also posted a double-double for the Wampus Cats (4-6), tallying 12 points and 10 boards, but the Cats couldn’t match the 3A Spartans’ superior depth.

“We came out strong and had fun. They (Spartans) played a little rough, but we kept our heads,” said Cats head coach Corey Vogel, whose team led late in the third quarter before being outscored 18-10 in the pivotal fourth. “Everybody is starting to gel, and it was the best four quarters we’ve put together in a row. Eich fought hard, and he’s really good at finding that open spot.”

Chris Simpkins scored 12 points to lead the Spartans (3-9), who held a big edge in the first and fourth quarters.

Spencer Jeffres continues to bolster a deep front court, adding eight points and 10 rebounds, and Brandan Bowen ran the offense while posting eight points, five assists and three steals.

Clark Fork is at Lakeside on Tuesday.
