Railroads aren't fly-by-night outfits

| January 27, 2015 6:00 AM

There has been much concern regarding the trains carrying the coal and oil tanker cars coming through Sandpoint for quite sometime now. I can understand some concern; however, not to the degree expressed in articles in the Bee and letters to the editor; especially for just the coal and crude oil cars. Many of you would be surprised to learn of all the much more dangerous materials that travel through our cities and towns every day, yet those are never mentioned in your concerns. (And not by just rail).
