Grass volleyball tourneys set

SANDPOINT — Sandpoint Parks and Rec presents the USA Volleyball/ERVA sanctioned 4-person adult grass volleyball tournament, being held at War Memorial Field on Saturday, July 11.

The Quikies by the River Grass Volleyball Tournament is a 4-person format with divisions for Men’s Open and Competitive, Women’s Open and Competitive, and Coed Competitive players.

The Tournament will be pool play, with two sets per match, then single elimination bracket play for the playoffs. Prizes will be awarded for winning teams.

All players must be USAV/ERVA members as this is a sanctioned event, and one-day memberships will be available for $6.

The registration deadline has been extended until 10 a.m. on Monday, July 6 at Sandpoint Parks and Rec (1123 Lake St.).

The entry fee is $100 per team, and a $20 late fee will apply after July 6.

• Junior grass volleyball tournament on tap

A juniors grass tournament for players between U12 and U18 will take place on Sunday, July 12 starting at 9 a.m. at War Memorial Field.

Tournament will be a 4-person format, with two-set pool play, followed by a single elimination bracket playoff. Prizes will be awarded for winning teams.

The registration deadline has been extended until 10 a.m. on Monday, July 6 at Sandpoint Parks and Rec (1123 Lake St.). The entry fee is $100 per team, with a $20 late fee will applied after July 6.
