PONDERAY — The suspect accused of robbing a Horizon Credit Union branch on Tuesday has been identified as Karl E. Erikson, a 32-year-old from Wasilla, Alaska.

Ponderay Police released the suspect’s identity on Wednesday and a refined description of the vehicle he is thought to be traveling in. He was last seen driving a silver 2005 Ford F-150 crew cab with Alaska plates that read FTT836.

A $250,000 warrant for robbery has been issued, Ponderay Police said.

Erikson is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 200 pounds and has blond hair and blue eyes. He has multiple tattoos on both arms and legs.

The Bonner County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that Erikson is thought to be in the company of Alyssa A. Dahlman, a 28-year-old Alaska resident. The duo was apparently living in the Sagle area prior to the robbery.

Erikson is accused of entering the branch on Bonner Mall Way at about 9:15 a.m. He allegedly demanded cash and stated he was conducting a robbery.

Erikson allegedly fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries.

Those with information on the whereabouts of Erikson or have knowledge of the heist are asked to call 911 or Bonner Dispatch at 208-265-5525. Tipsters can also call Det. Cornelius at 208-255-6534 or Det. Deem at 208-946-6715.
