Administrator proposal doesn't make sense

On Wednesday, July 15, 5:30 p.m., the Sandpoint City Council will address the issue of hiring a city administrator. If approved, it will become part of the next budget. I hope you will be there to give input.

This is a new position, intended to be funded at $116,268 per year, although the salary range is between $98,113 and $127,171. It would be the highest salary of any city employee, including the city attorney. In fact, its top step is in line with the governor’s salary.
