Will U.S. become another Greece?
An interesting debate last week in Las Vegas at an event called Freedom Fest. One day featured two preeminent economists of our time, Paul Krugman — socialism’s statist, Keynesian Obamanomics (New York Times) — versus Stephen Moore capitalism’s free market, supply-side economics (Wall Street Journal).
Krugman somehow had video cameras banned so it has been harder to fairly evaluate the outcome with the limited exposure on the event. Krugman’s big government stance seemed shaky to start considering the meltdowns taking place all over the world in countries sharing his vision, most notably Greece, Puerto Rico, Argentina, and a few teetering in Europe. The debate was a precursor to the substance of the next election and the direction of our country financially.
