SAR golf tourney raises more than $10,000

BLANCHARD — Local golfers teed it up for a great cause at the 25th annual Selkirk Association of Realtors Charity Golf Tournament, held recently at StoneRidge Golf Resort, raising more than $10,000 for the Grants and Scholarship Program.

From rubber chicken tossing sponsored by Evergreen Home Loans, to the “shot for shot” sponsored by North Idaho Title and Mike DePrez, to snacks and refreshments on the course sponsored by Axia Home Loans, Knights Realty and First American Title Company, there was more fun than just hitting 18 holes for this year’s golfers attending the long running, successful fundraiser.

Each year the Selkirk Association of Realtors award thousands of dollars to area high school seniors, college students and local area community service organizations through its Grants and Scholarships Program. The annual golf tournament is the main fundraiser for the program, a great networking tool for members and the public as well as a fun day on the course.

North Idaho Title was the first place team, led by Gavin Jacobson, Alex Murray, Brad Hansen and Tye Barlow, who channeled his inner-Billy Horschel to also win the long putt award.
