U.S. 95 crash kills motorist

ELMIRA — A Sandpoint woman died following a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 95 in Elmira on Tuesday.

Idaho State Police said Alexander Craig Hjelt was northbound when he failed to stop for traffic ahead of him that was stopping near West Elmira Road. Hjelt’s Chevrolet Silverado pickup crashed into the rear of a Saturn driven by Kathleen Louise Ginter.
