Green Monarchs win tourney in Bonners Ferry

SANDPOINT — Avenging decades of defeat experienced by Sandpoint’s soccer founders, the Green Monarch Football Club kicked off the summer tournament season last Sunday posting three dominant wins over northern hamlet teams from the Purcell trench. Sandpoint assembled a mixed squad, combining a handful of GMFC premier players, to supplement their masters division Grey Monarchs and a few standout Sandpoint women.
