SANDPOINT — A Bonner County Magistrate Court judge declined on Wednesday to lessen the sentence imposed against a Washington state man who accidentally killed another motorist in a collision.

However, Judge Lori Meulenberg agreed to modify the way the sentence is served so Christopher Dale Jewsbury does not lose his business and his home.

Jewsbury, 50, of Spokane, is serving a 210-day sentence for the death of Amy Lynn Brady, who was killed in a collision on U.S. Highway 2 east of Oldtown in March 2014.

Idaho State Police said Jewsbury was westbound when he drove his pickup left of center and collided head-on with Brady’s sedan. Brady, a 39-year-old single mother and military veteran, was killed in the crash.
