Event serves up support for public officials

SANDPOINT — Firefighters and law enforcement officers will be facing off Saturday — across the softball field, that is.

The seven-inning public officers appreciation softball game will begin at 3 p.m. at the softball field across the street from the Bonner County Fairgrounds, and behind the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The entire community is invited to the free event, to come and support their favorite team, and to say thank you to law enforcement, firefighters and EMS personnel.

Food and drinks will be provided, along with games for kids, and a covered pavilion with tables for eating.
