It's not the potatoes, it's the school district

“I think we should eat more potatoes.”

I first heard this from the design editor of the Ball State Daily News, who was telling the rest of the design staff what they could learn from my first-ever page printed in the newspaper. “Seriously, why are our students from Idaho so good?” I explained that it wasn’t potatoes. It wasn’t mountains, lakes or moose, either.
