Kummer tosses no-hitter

LEWISTON — Sophomore pitcher Patrick Kummer tossed a seven inning complete game no-hitter, leading the Bulldogs to a 9-0 shutout win over Orofino as part of a nonleague baseball doubleheader on Tuesday at Lewiston High School.

Kummer struck out four, and was in command from start to finish for the Bulldogs (1-3), pounding the strike zone and utilizing his defense.

“He did a good job locating his fastball, and mixing his off-speed stuff when he needed to,” said Bulldogs head coach Scott Fitchett. “Mostly he just stayed in the zone.”
