Proposed cuts would devastate Clark Fork

The cuts proposed by Lake Pend Oreille School District Superintendent Shawn Woodward will not only devastate Clark Fork Junior/Senior High School, they will also destroy our town.

The long-term ramifications will be dramatic for our little community. Due to fewer teachers and classes, more of our students will go elsewhere for their education. This will lead to a decrease in enrollment and a further cutting of the school budget, which will continue the downward cycle of less students and more cuts. Rinse and repeat until we no longer have a school left.
