Pair finish first in derby

SANDPOINT — Derek Blanchard and Edwin Dickson have been crowned the unofficial first-place winners of the Lake Pend Oreille Idaho Club’s annual spring derby.

Blanchard caught a 21-pound adult rainbow trout early on in the derby and went on to win the adult division. Dickson, meanwhile, reeled in a 23-pound lake trout and went on to claim first in the adult Mackinaw division.
