Make the election about the children

The tone of this school board election after a successful levy campaign is appalling. There are no parties involved here, just kids who need the best advocates Zones 1 and 4 can offer. When school meal programs are cut from Zone 1 … when we only hear of teacher cuts being made and no word of deep cuts at the district level, something is wrong. If proponents of Molander and Lewis have to resort to putting non-Zone 1 or non-Zone 4 persons up to slandering intelligent, involved, and well-meaning candidates for zones 1 and 4, this school district administration is afraid of change. Most of us can read between the lines; the children deserve better.
